Details:

Community Shelter Board, in partnership with the YMCA, opened Van Buren Shelter to address the growing numbers of men, women and families who are experiencing homelessness. The shelter is designed to move people more quickly into stable housing and stop repeat homelessness.

As a Team Jeni's volunteer, you'll spend time with children staying at the Van Buren Shelter and help them celebrate their birthday with a splendid surprise -- ICE CREAM!

Closed-toe shoes are required
If you're new to this event, please print, fill-out, and bring this liability waiver with you
Your team will use the family side entrance (not the main entrance). When facing the shelter, you'll go to the left side of the building and walk towards the outdoor play area. Upon entering the building, your team will go through security and Alison will meet you at the desk.
