For more than three decades, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) has been keeping families close at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. From their beginning as a grassroots movement established by a partnership between volunteers and local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, the charity has served thousands of families by providing a home-away-from-home while their child is being treated in the hospital. With 137 guest rooms, the Columbus Ronald McDonald House is the largest in the world.

Join Besa and the Ronald McDonald House to provide relief for families. Besa volunteers will bake treats for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. This is a great way to give a taste of home while they are dealing with the stress of having an ill child. Treats will be left in the kitchen, so families can take them on their way across the street to the hospital.

  • This is a kid friendly opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Volunteers can make whichever treat they think families would enjoy (cookies, Chex Mix, granola bars, etc.), as long as it can be easily packaged in Zip-Lock baggies, so families can grab and go.

  • Volunteers must bring their own store bought ingredients -- premade doughs are not allowed. The House has a variety of utensils on-site, including hand mixers, spatulas, etc. If your item requires a specific tool, we encourage you to bring it.

  • Parking Info: There is a gated parking lot on the east side of the building. Just pull up, ring the buzzer, and let them know you are there to volunteer.
