Columbus Early Learning Centers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides quality early childhood education to Columbus area families. Columbus Early Learning Centers has a 130 year history of serving young children and families in some of our highest need neighborhoods. Nurturing relationships, challenging curriculum and enriching community partnerships provide children with an environment for success.

Each June, Columbus Early Learning Centers and Union Grove Baptist Church (neighboring building) partner to create a community garden. The garden serves as an educational experience for children, while supporting families of CELC with fresh and healthy produce. As a volunteer, your team would help plant various seedlings for the growing season. Additional projects may include; beautification of CELC with flower planting.

  • A lead volunteer from Columbus Early Learning Centers will be on-site to provide orientation and training.
  • A tour will also be provided.
  • Parking is available on-site.
  • Please dress for the weather and in clothing you won't mind getting dirty -- feel free to wear your Giving at Express tee!
  • Closed toe shoes are required.
  • We encourage you to bring sunscreen, since you will be outdoors.
  • A Besa representative will be on-site to greet your team.
