The Columbus Early Learning Centers (CELC) has been providing high-quality early learning and care to our city’s children for 130 years. They provide affordable access to high-quality early childhood education that has strengthened the lives of thousands of children and families. In 2016 they provided care for 206 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

Join Besa and CELC to create a safe space for kids to play and learn. A mulch covered playground provides the ideal environment for an afternoon of fun and learning with safety and comfort in mind. Besa volunteers will help mulch the Champion Avenue Center, which includes: removing debris from the playground, spreading mulch, and smoothing the terrain for safety.

  • This is a kid friendly opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • All supplies will be provided.
