Details:

The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, is a non-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of people affected by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia through family and clinical support, education, advocacy, and research.

Every 65 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s disease. In an effort to further educate our community and promote the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio has created a high energy, fast-paced one-day awareness campaign. On July 27 for ten-hours straight, Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio will distribute a t-shirt to a member of our community every 65-seconds.

Join Besa and Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio as we distribute t-shirts and provide education on the disease. Besa volunteers will pass out a t-shirt every 65-seconds for one-hour (approximately 50 shirts). During distribution we’ll ask that you quickly tell them a little bit about the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, take some great photos and encourage them to make an impact by joining the fight (or telling someone they know).

  • A lead volunteer from Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio will provide orientation.
  • This is a kid-friendly (10+) opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All supplies will be provided.
  • Metered parking is available along Main St. and neighboring side streets. Do not park in the Giant Eagle lot, it is reserved for customers only.
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
