Columbus Recreation and Parks has more than 353 parks on 12,000+ acres, have established 29 community centers, five athletic complexes, six golf courses, 120 miles of trails, five splash pads and interactive fountains, eight pools and an indoor aquatic center, fourteen nature preserves, three reservoirs, five dog parks, a skate park and have a range of programs for toddlers to seniors. In addition to just being fun, their parks, programs, and services give all Columbus residents a chance to improve their physical and mental health, to develop our youth, to focus on our environment, and to make a positive economic impact on our city.

Join Besa and Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to create a safe space for kids to play. A mulch covered playground provides the ideal environment for an afternoon of fun with safety and comfort in mind. Besa volunteers will help mulch the Shepard Park playground, which includes: removing debris from the playground, spreading mulch, and smoothing the terrain for safety.
