The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, is a non-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of people affected by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia through family and clinical support, education, advocacy, and research.

Flowers are the Walk to End Alzheimer's symbol. All over the country people hold flowers during the Walk that represent their connection to Alzheimer's disease: blue if you have Alzheimer's, purple if you've lost someone to the disease, yellow if you are a caregiver, or orange if you hope for a world without Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter has created a real-life Promise Garden in our community to serve as a place of reflection for those impacted by Alzheimer's disease.

Join Besa and the Alzheimer’s Association to bring the Promise Garden to life. In March, Besa volunteers helped create seed paper made from the memory cards honoring loved ones affected by Alzheimer's. As a Besa volunteer, you will help plant these seed papers in the Promise Garden so that these memories will grow into flowers. Other projects may include; removing weeds, filling beds with flowers and decorating the surrounding area with sidewalk chalk.

  • A lead volunteer from Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio will provide orientation and training.
  • 10 is the minimum age required and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please dress for the weather and in clothing/shoes, you won't mind getting dirty.
