Goodwill Columbus is one of the largest charities in Central Ohio tackling workforce development, particularly for people with disabilities. Join Besa and Goodwill Columbus to support The Young Adult Services program and the Sage Seniors program. Each provides unique and varied opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to become involved in the community. Through this rewarding program, participants gain self-respect, self-worth and the feeling that they are part of something meaningful.

As a volunteer, your team will work directly with participants and provide important socialization which allows individuals to build interpersonal relationships. Volunteer opportunities include:

1) Springtime/Mother's Day Cards: Channel your inner Picasso and help participants create colorful cards for that special someone in their life

2) Spring Bingo: Come play a popular game of chance originally called Beano

3) Egg Scramble Movement Exercise: Shake off the workday with fun exercises and stretches

4) Spring Sensory Activity: Use all five senses as you help participants dig deep in a bin to match up like items

5) Surrey Bike Rides: Stretch your legs and take a ride on a surrey bike  built for two

6) Wheelchair Wash: Wax on and wax off to make wheelchairs squeaky clean for participants

7) Sound Identification Game: Do you hear what I hear? Help participants identify various nature sounds by matching them with various pictures

8) Indoor Snowball Fun: It may be Spring, but who doesn't love to play in the snow? Have fun throwing, catapulting, and corn-holing indoor snowballs
