The Columbus Coalition for the Homeless believes in social and economic justice for all people. Their mission is to empower homeless persons to achieve greater self-sufficiency, to advocate on behalf of homeless persons and organizations that serve them; and to work together to educate the Central Ohio community about the devastating effects of homelessness upon individuals and families.
Each Mother’s Day, the Coalition holds its annual Mother’s Day Brunch. The brunch is a celebration to recognize the importance of mothers and motherhood, with a special invitation extended to currently and formerly homeless mothers and their children.
Join Besa and the  Columbus Coalition for the Homeless to support mothers who have struggled with homelessness. As a Besa volunteer, we'll help serve brunch to mothers and families attending the event. Additional responsibilities may include: setting up bread and desserts, filling water glasses, and making final touches on the tables. Following the event, volunteers may be needed to assist with clean up. Bring your mother, a family member, or friend with you to volunteer!
