The mission of the United School Network (USN) is to transform lives and communities through the power of education. They believe every child deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of the zip code in which they are born. They provide a public, tuition-free, college-prep education to school students in Columbus, Ohio.

Join Besa and the United School Network to paint and transform a local elementary school. Besa volunteers will split into three groups to help paint the walls of two large classrooms and provide landscaping to the courtyard. Tasks may also include removing tape and tarps, light cleaning, pulling weeds, trimming plants, and mulching. Donuts and coffee will be provided!

  • A United School Network staff person will provide a brief orientation and training.
  • 5 is the minimum age required and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and paint on.
  • The classroom does not have a/c so it can get pretty warm. We would recommend wearing short sleeves and shorts.
  • Parking is available at the surface lot of the school.

  • This event is ADA accessible.
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
