Details:

The Clarfield Farm is a 3+ acre diversified vegetable farm. The farm sits on the grounds of a now closed public school building, Clarfield Elementary School. The vacant school building is surrounded by over five acres of farmable land. In 2013, Mid-Ohio Foodbank created nearly a one acre plot to grow vegetables. In 2014, they are expanding production to nearly three acres. The harvested food provides underserved communities with increased access to local produce.

Volunteers will assist in the following:

• Planting and thinning seeds and seedlings
• Weeding and cultivating beds
• Laying compost, mulch, or other amendments
• Harvesting, washing, and packing produce
• Site clean-up and misc farm tasks
• Tools and training will be provided!
• Youth with parent, 13+, can join!
