Woof, Woof! Support Rescued DogsSupport Local Shelter Dogs Date: March 8 | Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am Venue: Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center
Address:
Directions: Details: Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center is committed to saving lives. Their shelter is the largest county shelter in Ohio. Last year they took in over 9,000 dogs and puppies, including all stray dogs in the county as well as owner surrenders and unwanted litters of puppies.
Join Besa and FCDSAC to support local shelter dogs. As a volunteer, you'll may help with a variety task, including: making enrichment toys, such as "pupsicles" and snuffle mats, helping provide a clean environment for the pups. Depending on the weather and dog population at the shelter, volunteers may also have the opportunity to exercise and walk dogs. Enrichment toys, a clean space, and walks provide entertainment and comfort for dogs, which reduces stress while living in shelter environments. Less stress results in happier, more adoptable animals.
