The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, is a non-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of people affected by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia through family and clinical support, education, advocacy, and research.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. At the 2019 Columbus Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Besa volunteers help manage the Memory Wall. This unique area allowed participants to fill out a memory card to honor their loved ones affected by Alzheimer's.

Join Besa and the Alzheimer’s Association to bring these memories to life. Besa volunteers will create seed paper made from the memory cards that were posted on the Memory Wall. The seed paper will be planted in the Alzheimer’s Association Promise Garden so that the memories of loved ones will grow into flowers.

  • A lead volunteer from Alzheimer's Association will provide orientation and training.
  • This is a kid-friendly opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • All supplies will be provided, but you are welcomed to bring a small towel to help with the craft.

  • This event is ADA accessible.
  • Parking is available on-site.
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
