Gratitude Challenge: Meal Packing for Meals-on-WheelsHelp prepare and package food Date: April 29 | Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Venue: LifeCare Alliance
Address:
Directions: Details: We believe the human spirit shines of light and of love – now more than ever. Besa wants to harness and celebrate that spirit. So we are on a mission to show acts of gratitude throughout Columbus in one week.
Here's how:
LifeCare Alliance’s Meals-on-Wheels program provides nourishing food 365 days a year to homebound older adults and individuals living with a medical challenge or disability. They home-deliver approximately 5,000 meals a day in Franklin, Madison, Marion, Champaign, and Logan Counties.
Join Besa and LifeCare Alliance/Meals-on-Wheels to support homebound and chronically ill people across the community. Besa volunteers will work as a team to package bread and silverware for Meals on Wheels.
Your safety is our utmost concern. We encourage all volunteers to bring and wear masks, gloves and use hand sanitizer.
Ohio’s current stay-at-home order permits people to continue helping neighbors. Healthy and willing volunteers are needed now more than ever, especially to feed the hungry. While we have many neighbors in need, we must each take care of ourselves first. If you are a vulnerable population—an older adult, a cancer patient, live with asthma, etc.—please stay home. If you have traveled out of the country recently, please stay home. If you feel sick or exhibit any symptoms of the virus as shared by the CDC—fever, coughing or shortness of breath—please stay home.
