COVID-19 Response: Meal Packing for Meals-on-WheelsSupport LifeCare Alliance Date: May 20 | Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Venue: LifeCare Alliance
Address:
Directions: Details: LifeCare Alliance’s Meals-on-Wheels program provides nourishing food 365 days a year to homebound older adults and individuals living with a medical challenge or disability. They home-deliver approximately 5,000 meals a day in Franklin, Madison, Marion, Champaign, and Logan Counties.
Join Besa and LifeCare Alliance/Meals-on-Wheels to support homebound and chronically ill people across the community. As a volunteer, we'll work as a team to package bread and silverware for Meals on Wheels.
LifeCare Alliance will provide gloves, face masks and we'll also practice social distancing. No client interaction will take place during this volunteer event. If you have your own gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own.
Ohio’s current stay-at-home order permits people to continue helping neighbors. Healthy and willing volunteers are needed now more than ever, especially to feed the hungry. While we have many neighbors in need, we must each take care of ourselves first. If you are a vulnerable population—an older adult, a cancer patient, live with asthma, etc.—please stay home. If you have traveled out of the country recently, please stay home. If you feel sick or exhibit any symptoms of the virus as shared by the CDC—fever, coughing or shortness of breath—please stay home.
