Columbus Recreation and Parks connects the people of our community through the power of nature, wellness, and creativity. With more than 353 parks and countless programs, their services give all Columbus residents a chance to improve their physical and mental health, to develop our youth, to focus on our environment, and to make a positive economic impact on our city.

Join Besa and Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to help provide food to our neighbors in crisis. Besa volunteers will help unload produce supplied by the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, organize and sort produce, and pack produce boxes.

Columbus Parks and Recreation will provide gloves, hand sanitizer, face masks and we'll also practice social distancing. No client interaction will take place during this volunteer event. If you have your own gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 50, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.
