Details:

We're launching a Summer Movie Series to explore race, class, gender, and sexuality in America.

For our 3rd film in this series, we've teamed up with Maroon Arts Group and Harmony Project to host an outdoor movie. We'll be showing Queen Katwe (trailer), based on the true story of a Ugandan girl who's life changes forever when she discovers she has an amazing talent for chess. This event will also include local food trucks, music, and a panel discussion with local community leaders.

Join Besa to support our Summer Movie Series. As a volunteer, you'll assist guests as they attend this event. Tasks may include: checking in guests, helping cars park, monitoring food lines, and light clean up. Volunteers are welcome to enjoy the movie during their volunteer shift.

Limited guest interaction may take place. Volunteers are required to bring their own mask or face covering, Besa will not be providing any. Volunteers and guests will be practicing social distance.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 50, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.
