Lutheran Social Services (LSS) serves thousands of people in need each day by addressing issues of food, shelter, safety and healing. LSS offers housing and supportive services through LSS Faith Mission homeless shelters and domestic violence services through LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence. Their breadth of services focus on uplifting families and strengthening communities.

Join Besa and LSS to sort and organize donations! Donations are distributed to residents staying at the Faith Mission and CHOICES shelters. As a volunteer, you'll help by sorting through donations, changing inventory, and organizing the donation storage closet. Volunteers may also assemble various kits for clients transitioning into shelter or into permanent housing.

LSS will practice social distancing. Volunteers are required to bring their own mask, as LSS will not provide any. No client interaction will take place. If you have your own gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 60, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.
