The Mid-Ohio Foodbank aims to provide efficient, effective ways for hungry people to meet their basic food and nutrition needs. Due to COVID-19, their on-site Pantry has transitioned from serving 250 families a day to 1,000 families per day. To meet the increasing needs of the community they need 3,000 volunteer hours every week. 

Join Besa and the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and help with COVID-19 hunger relief efforts! As a volunteer, you may assist with a variety of tasks, including: packing food boxes, organizing stocked shelves, and taking pre-packed food orders from the pantry to shoppers waiting in their cars. 

Face masks are required to be worn at all times. Social distancing will be observed. Limited client interaction will take place during this volunteer event.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 60, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.

• 11 is the minimum age required and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
• This project takes place both indoors and outdoors, rain or shine. We encourage wearing layers, comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
• Please park in their west lot or the lot across the street from the main building. A map will be provided prior to the event. 
• Unfortunately, this event is not ADA accessible.
• Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests
