The mission of the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio is to reduce the impact of poverty by providing furniture to Central Ohio families and individuals struggling with severe life challenges. In their 20 years of operation, they have served over 60,000 families. Furniture with a Heart is a store that sells new and gently used furniture, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Furniture Bank!

Join Besa and the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio to support families in our community. As a volunteer, you'll assist with any of the following tasks; sorting, cleaning or organizing donations and furniture, assembling furniture, sorting wood for Furniture Bank builds, and additional tasks as needed.

Face masks are required to be worn at all times. Social distancing will be observed. Masks and gloves are available upon request. Limited client interaction will take place during this volunteer event. 

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 60, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.

• 18 is the minimum age required to volunteer.

• A lead volunteer from the Furniture Bank will be on-site to provide orientation and training.

• Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes.

• Please park along the side of the building or in the spots facing the service road. Please try to leave the spots immediately in front of the store open for guests.

• Unfortunately, this event is not ADA accessible. 
• Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
