The Free Store is an incredible opportunity to volunteer in the Southside neighborhood, helping people select books, toys, clothes and much more for their families. Everything in the store is provided to families, free of cost, so that they do not need to worry about paying for these basic necessities. 

December special project: work with children and families as they pick out Christmas gifts for siblings! 

• More than 40,000 families have become members of the Free Store since the doors opened in 1999. 
• Free Store volunteers assist in a variety of roles: greeting, inventory, racking and signing out families.
• Youth 14+ are welcome to join!
• Parking: There is a free parking lot on the North Side of the building. Street park is also available.
• Donations of toiletries, household items and clothing are accepted!
