The Chilly Open is an annual wintertime fundraising event to raise money and increase awareness for children's charities in Central Ohio. The event, which began in 1997, takes place each year at The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. This family-oriented event has helped raise over $2.5 million for area children's charities.

This year's Chilly Open benefits Children's Hunger Alliance. As a Besa volunteer, we'll be responsible for managing the silent auction during the event.

Additional details

• Free parking is available for volunteers in the main lot.
• Please note, it will take approx 15mins to get from your car, through check-in, to the event area. Please plan accordingly.
• Children may volunteer with a parent if they are 14 or older
• Volunteers receive free admission to visit the Columbus Zoo, before or after the scheduled shift.
• Volunteer check-in is located near the main entrance. 
• This is an outdoor event (in a tented area); please dress accordingly.
