Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center

As part of the century-old settlement house movement, the CRC is a community-based social services agency that brings people together to help individuals and families build upon their strengths. It promotes self-sufficiency while respecting individual worth, rights and dignity – thus creating a greater quality of life in the community. The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center (CRC) is a 40 year-old Settlement House located in North Columbus. It was originally organized by a local church to help people in the community and continues that tradition today. In 1973 the CRC became a freestanding, non-denominational social services agency and in 1975 became a United Way member agency. The CRC is a member in good standing of the Columbus Federation of Settlements, the Clintonville Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way Professional Advisory Council.

First Time Unloading The Truck At CRC

Loved going to this event! Matthew and the other volunteers made me feel so welcome participating in this for the first time. Everyone was laughing and having fun - plus it was a great workout. I'll be adding this to the list of my monthly Besa events to sign up for!

Unloading produce

This was my first event volunteering for Besa. I had so much fun and not only did we unload the produce but we also were able to meet with people that the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resource Center helped. Great experience all around. Can't wait to volunteer again!

Unloading the Produce Truck at the CRC

Not only are you getting a small workout, but you really get to connect to other volunteers as you pass the produce down the line. I find it interesting that people from the neighborhood just stop by to help. One volunteer told me he was making a delivery to the center 2 yrs ago, stayed to help unload the truck, and has been back once a week since! Great example of having fun working with others to give back.

CRC Foodbank

Unloading the truck at the CRC foodbank is always an exciting time.

So many wonderful people hollering out what's next down the line and where it is supposed to go. Puts a smile on my face. I'll always volunteer here.

CRC- Always a Good Time!

Just helped unload over 8,700lbs of produce at the Clintonville Community Center last night with a great group of people.
Besa knows how to put the love and fun into giving back, and I can't wait to sign up for more!

Clintonville-Beechwold CRC

Each Tuesday evening at the CRC is "Food Truck Unloading Night". It is an evening to share a hot meal with clients of the Resource Center, as well as other volunteers, and to help unload the food truck that supports those in need around the community.

Be ready for a little organized chaos, as there can be many people ready to help, but not much direction. However, with a little initiative and team work the unloading goes fast!

Wonderful Experience at the CRC.

The CRC is an organization that provides individuals and families with full circle support of their basic needs by creating an authentic connection with those in the surrounding communities.

As first time volunteers, we had a great experience partnering with other volunteers as well as the center's clients to unload almost 8,000 pounds of food for their food pantry. This is a wonderful resource for those that need it and we will volunteer again.
