Beautify A Women's Reading GardenSupport Women in Addiction Recovery with Alvis Date: March 28 | Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Venue: Alvis - Amethyst Program
Address: Details: For over 50 years, Alvis has made society's most vulnerable populations a priority by providing highly effective treatment programs. Alvis' Amethyst Program provides trauma-informed behavioral healthcare to resilient women and their amazing children, who are all together working in their recovery. In addition to healthcare and treatment, the Amethyst Program promotes dignity and respect among the women and children in residence.
Join Besa and Alvis to encourage peaceful reflection and reading for both moms and their children. As a volunteer, you'll assist with the development of the Peaceful Reading Garden. Activities may include preparing the space for spring by mulching, weeding, planting, and more. All gardening supplies will be provided.
Face masks are required to be worn at all times. Social distancing will be observed. Masks and gloves are available upon request. No client interaction will take place during this volunteer event.

Alvis is accepting lightly used children's and adult books to support the collection of books for the Peaceful Reading Garden. If you’d like to donate books, please bring them with you when you volunteer and notify your Besa Volunteer Leader.

Their lines of service include research-based, comprehensive reentry and family support programs; behavioral health and substance abuse treatment services; recovery housing for women and their children; and services to individuals with developmental disabilities who are trying to live more independently in the community.
Join Besa and Alvis to support individuals re-entering the workforce. As a volunteer, you'll sort through donations and organize the Alvis Clothing Closet so that clients have the best professional attire to choose from for their upcoming career opportunities.
