Mid-Ohio Foodbank

No one should go hungry.
And yet thousands of people go hungry in our community every day. For 32 years, we’ve been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA, and community partners to obtain food and distribute it to more than 550 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio.

Double Your Donation Day

It was my first time volunteering for Double Your Donation Day for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. We met at NBC Studios, received an orientation on the phones and software we'd be using and off we went. The Besa Crew was so much fun. The Mid-Ohio crew was so helpful and patient. I had a really great time and hope to return next year!

Mid-Ohio Food Bank Double Your Donation Phone Bank

This was my first time volunteering with Besa and the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. It was such a wonderful experience and I can not say enough good things about both organizations. Everyone was so friendly, kind and inviting. They made my volunteer experience fun, relaxing and wanting to volunteer more in the future. Whether you are looking for a one-time experience or to participate regularly I would highly suggest giving these organizations a chance. Great Experience! I will be volunteering again. :)

Mid-Ohio Foodbank - find yourself helping others

This was my first time volunteering at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, but it will definitely not be the last. Every person that we worked with from MOF and Besa was so nice and helpful, and it was great to feel like what I was doing was making a difference and helping the community. The environment was so positive and encouraging, I am looking forward to going back and helping regularly!

Mid-Ohio Senior Package Program

I've always enjoyed volunteering for mid-ohio foodbank in the past and this time was a unique experience. They had a room setup with a rolling assembly line that put together food packages for seniors. It was nice to be able to put together these special care packages and not just loading big pallets of food. It was more personal and was a joy to be apart of. Mid-ohio Foodbank helps so many other organizations around ohio and it was great being able to be a small part of that.

Beautification Project: Urban Farms Mural

I haven't done a wide variety through Besa and loved everything I have done, but I have to say this was the most fun and probably the coolest event I've done so far. I'm not a very artistic person so the paint-by-numbers aspect was fantastic plus I enjoyed learning about the farm itself! I'd love to volunteer at other projects around the farm and hope more beautification opportunities like that around Columbus become available! Great experience!
