Our vision is to partner with CelebrateOne, the numerous Franklinton organizations who support the area, and neighborhood residents to create a healthy, supportive, and safe community for families in Franklinton and the westside of Columbus.

Great community

This was a worthwhile volunteer experience. Little Bottoms is really making a difference in their neighborhood and you can feel it with every interaction.

Details:

Little Bottoms Free Store provides diapers, wipes, baby clothes and supportive space for families living in Franklinton and the west side of Columbus. Everything in the store is provided to families, free of cost, so they aren't burdened with paying for basic necessities. 

 

Join Besa and Little Bottoms to support Franklinton families. As a volunteer, you'll help distribute diapers and clothes to families drive-through style. Limited client interaction will take place during this volunteer event. 

 

Little Bottoms will provide gloves and face masks and we'll also practice social distancing. If you have your own gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own. Client interaction will take place at this event.

 

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 50, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.

 

  • A representative from Besa and League of Women Voters will be on-site to provide a brief training and overview.

  • 5 is the minimum age required and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Please note: This project takes place both indoors and outdoors, rain or shine.
  • We encourage you to dress for the weather!
  • The doors to enter Little Bottoms Free Store is located on W State St.
  • Parking is available along nearby streets, including W State St and W Park Ave. Please read all the street signs carefully!
  • Unfortunately, this event is not ADA accessible. 
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.

 

Little Bottoms has a high need for baby wipes. If you’d like to donate new or gently used baby clothes, diapers, or wipes to Little Bottoms Free Store, please bring them with you when you volunteer and notify your Besa Volunteer Leader.
