Details:

Goodwill Columbus is one of the largest charities in Central Ohio tackling workforce development, particularly for people with disabilities.

Join Besa and Goodwill Columbus to support The Young Adult Services program and the Sage Seniors program. Each provides unique and varied opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to become involved in the community. Through this rewarding program, participants gain self-respect, self-worth and the feeling that they are part of something meaningful.

As a volunteer, your team will join Goodwill Columbus participants and staff on a neighborhood walk. This event provides important socialization for their participants and allows individuals with mobility limitations an opportunity to experience nature, and the neighborhood.

  • This project provides direct-interaction with individuals who have developmental disabilities and some may require mobility assistance (i.e. pushing a wheelchair).
  • A lead volunteer from Goodwill Columbus will be on-site to provide orientation and training.
  • Volunteers should meet at the Climbing Rock.
  • A Besa representative will be on-site to greet your team and answer any questions.
