Since 1970, Huckleberry House has been a safe place for Central Ohio’s youth and families who are dealing with some of the most difficult problems imaginable. Issues like abuse, violence, neglect, poverty, and homelessness. They work relentlessly to ensure all young people in our community have access to a safe home environment as well as the guidance they need to develop skills and find resources that can help them navigate and cope with the pressures of life.

Join Besa and the Huckleberry House to support Central Ohio Youth at a spooktacular event!  Besa volunteers will help youth paint and carve pumpkins during their Halloween Party. All supplies will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their favorite games and candy to share.

  • A lead volunteer from Huckleberry House will provide orientation and training.
  • This is a kid-friendly opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • You will work directly with the youth during this opportunity.
  • Please wear clothing/shoes you won't mind getting dirty.
  • Street parking is available along Hamlet Street and 8th Avenue. Please read all the street signs carefully!
  • This event is ADA accessible.
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
