Buddy Up Tennis is a weekly, high-energy 90-minute program focused on adaptive tennis, fitness, and fun for children and adults with Down Syndrome. The program provides an enjoyable and supportive environment where the youth can learn and play tennis while engaging in activities that improve their athletic, social and emotional development.
Join Besa and Buddy Up Tennis to empower youth with Down Syndrome through sport. Besa volunteers (buddies!) will be partnered with an athlete (an individual with Down Syndrome) and provide encouragement, coaching, and support during their tennis clinic. No tennis skills are required.  The most important qualities: a positive attitude, willingness to help, and be ready for a fun and rewarding experience!
  • 14 is the minimum age required and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Wear comfortable/workout clothes. You will break a sweat!
  • New Volunteers: A short introduction will be provided at 8:00am to orient you with the program.
  • Returning Volunteers: If you already went through orientation, you do not need to show up until 9:20a.
  • Please let us know if you are an experienced tennis player!
  • Parking is available on-site.
  • Unfortunately, this event is not ADA accessible.
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
