Since 1919, Franklin County Public Health has operated as a full-service health department in the State of Ohio. Their mission is to improve the health of our communities by preventing disease, promoting healthy living and protecting against public health threats through education, policies, programs, and partnerships.

Join Besa and Franklin County Public Health to increase access to healthy food in our community. Besa volunteers will help unload produce supplied by the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, organize and sort produce, assist clients as they shop the market and provide light cleaning.

  • This is a kid-friendly opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

  • Depending on the items being unloaded, moderate to heavy lifting may be involved. If you're not comfortable lifting heavier items, please inform your Besa Volunteer Leader at the beginning of the event.

  • Parking is available on-site, at the fire station.

  • This event is ADA accessible.

  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.
