For over 400,000 children in Ohio, school meals may be the only food they eat during the week. What happens when they go home over the weekend? New Salem Baptist Church is helping close this gap through their Weekend Food Program. Every Friday, they deliver bags filled with nutritious, kid-friendly food to students attending East Linden Elementary. Since starting in 2016, over 44,000 meals have been provided to children in the Linden community.

Join Besa and New Salem to provide students with healthy and nutritious weekend meals. Besa volunteers will sort and assemble bags of food to be distributed to children attending East Linden Elementary.

  • This is a kid-friendly opportunity, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
