CoverMyCommunity is a focused effort to connect with our team members and lift up our communities through local volunteering in four main pillars: Racial Equity, Covid-19 Relief, the community of Franklinton, and the Passion Pillar.

The Homeless Families Foundation educates and nurtures children while empowering families to achieve stable housing and self-sufficiency. The Homeless Families Foundation offers after school and summer programs for over 100 Franklinton children in grades K-8 that focus on both academic programming and activities to enhance social skills, self-esteem, and overall health.

Join Besa and the Homeless Families Foundation to provide a safe, clean, and beautiful environment for Franklinton youth to thrive. As volunteers, your team will work spruce up the outdoor garden. Tasks may include mulching, weeding, planting, and more. Additional outdoor beautification tasks may be available. All gardening supplies will be provided.

The Homeless Families Foundation will provide gloves and we'll also practice social distancing. No client interaction will take place during this volunteer event. Volunteers are required to bring their own mask, as the Homeless Families Foundation will not be providing any. If you have your own gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 50, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.

  • Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
