Details:

IMPACT Community Action was founded in 1964 and is one of 48 Community Action Agencies in Ohio that is on the front line in the War on Poverty. Their mission is to fight poverty by providing hope-inspiring help and real opportunities to move people from crisis to stability, from stability to empowerment, and from empowerment to self-sufficiency.

First, it was toilet paper and disinfectant wipes. Now, desks are in short supply because of the corona-virus pandemic. With thousands of children in our community learning virtually this school year, low-income families are struggling to provide essential items like computers, reliable internet, and desks for their children to learn. Join Besa and IMPACT Community Action to support youth education during COVID-19. As a volunteer, you'll help to spray paint and decorate 20 desks that will be given to low-income families.

IMPACT Community Action will provide gloves, hand sanitizer, and we'll also practice social distancing. A face mask is required - please bring your own as we will not be providing any. No community interaction will take place during this volunteer event. If you have your own gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 50, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.
