The goal of Jewish Family Services is to provide the necessary support and skills to empower people to create a vibrant, connected and sustainable community. Since 1908, they have used a person-centered approach to tailor their services to meet the complex needs of people at all stages of life. From senior services to mental health and workforce development programs, Jewish Family Services is committed to changing people's lives, one life at a time.

Join Besa and Jewish Family Services to support our senior neighbors, Sonya & Nikolay! As a volunteer, you'll ensure that Sonya & Nikolay are ready for fall by assisting with yard beautification tasks, such as raking leaves, trimming hedges, and more. Volunteers will first meet at Sonya's home. Volunteers will then drive a short distance to Nikolay's home. Addresses will be provided upon sign-up.

Jewish Family Services will enforce social distancing. Limited client interaction may take place during this volunteer event. Volunteers are required to bring their own mask, as Jewish Family Services will not be providing any. If you have your own gardening gloves, face mask and/or hand sanitizer please feel free to bring it/use your own.

The health and safety of volunteers is a priority. If you are sick, over the age of 50, or have a chronic health condition, it is in your best interest to stay home. Click here for more information about COVID-19.
