Details:

The Broad Street Food Pantry is helping neighbors put healthy meals on their tables – providing food for bodies, relief to minds, and nourishment for souls. Currently, the pantry is distributing approximately 40,000 lbs of food to over 1,000 families per month! In addition to providing nutritious food, Broad Street Food Pantry also provides a special Christmas treat during the holiday season, spreading festive joy to the clients they serve.

COVID-19 won't stop Santa's Sleigh. Join Besa and the Broad Street Food Pantry to ensure all kids can have cookies for Santa! As a volunteer, you'll festively decorate 30 paper bags and pack them with hot chocolate and cookie mix - all from the comfort of your own home. All supplies will be provided, including paper bags, stickers, hot chocolate packets and cookie mixes. Volunteers are required to pick up supplies and drop off completed bags.

  • This opportunity takes place in the comfort of your own home.
  • Pick Up Instructions: Volunteers are required to pick up supplies at the pantry on Monday, November 30th between 9am and 1pm. Pick up is contactless.
  • Drop Off Instructions: Volunteers are required to drop off completed bags at the pantry on Monday, December 7th between 9am and 1pm. Drop off is contactless.
  • Court-appointed volunteering: At this time, we can not accept court-appointed requests.

We'd love to see your bags and designs! Share photos of you and your family assembling bags by emailing us at volunteer@givebesa.org or tagging Besa, we're @GiveBesa on all platforms.
