Sorting at Goodwill

I appreciated learning about Goodwill more during this event. The woman that worked at the store let us know they do not throw anything out that is donated because you never know what some people think of as trash can be another one's treasure. All of the clothes we were helping move out of the store, were going on to the Goodwill outlet instead of to landfills.

Great place to work

As an employee of Goodwill Columbus, this is a great place to work. The staff is extremely passionate about helping to empower people with developmental disabilities and other barriers. It's a really encouraging place to be a part of.

Join Besa and Goodwill Columbus to make Halloween cards for homebound adults! Due to COVID-19, many of these individuals have been isolated from the community. As a volunteer, you'll write Halloween-themed cards that will be distributed to our friends at Goodwill. We encourage you to get creative with stickers and craft supplies!

Below are examples of fall or Hallween-themed words of encouragement:

  • Know you have a friend who is sending you smiles!
  • Happy Halloween!
  • Happy fall!

Mailing Instructions:

  • All cards must be mailed no later than October 26th.
