"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." - Aesop.

Today was extra special for me at the food pantry. After introducing myself to a client, we asked her how she was doing. She responded with "I'm frustrated." During our shopping time, we joked and laughed together. During our good-byes, I wished her with a "I hope you day gets better." She hugged me and said that it already has. We, as volunteers, were able to change people's lives with our kindness ... in less than 10 minutes.

Great event

I thought the event was well organized and ran smoothly. Our volunteer leader was very friendly and fun. The only thing that would be considered negative was Carla. She seemed inconvenienced and irritated by us. Several times she was snappy with the volunteer leader. I still give it 5 stars and would go again bc we met some really nice people there!

First Time

Besa takes the guess work out of volunteering. They make it so easy to give back and find a place to do so. The group leader at the Broad Street Food Pantry was amazing! She explained the process very well and even let me observe how it was done first to get me out of my shell. I can't wait to go back.

My experience at the Broad Street Food Pantry was very rewarding. The folks shopping at the pantry were in good spirits and appreciative of the hard working volunteers. I could talk to people about food, recipes, and menu planning all day. I'll definitely be back.
